If you ask an average Nigerian to mention five preferred countries of residence on his /her bucket list, Nigeria will not find a breathing space on that list.
The Exodus of Nigerians to Europe, America, and other saner climes is becoming alarming. I don’t blame those that are relocating out of the country. Many are tired and frustrated of putting all of their eggs in the Nigerian basket. They want better lives for themselves, their children, families and future generations, etc.
As a Nigerian, you must put patriotism at the forefront of your dealing with God. He has sent you to this part of the world for the specific reason of being a channel of blessing to the land. Patriotism may be hard for you because of the following discouraging factors.
- Our economy is warped
- The political landscape is toxic, monetized, and has been reduced to cash and carry
- The education sector is comatose
- The health care system is moribund
- Infrastructures are decayed
- Public servants in high positions of authority operate with impunity as tin gods
- There is an open display of ill-gotten wealth to the disdain of hard-working upright workers, who seemingly have nothing to show for their uprightness and years of labor.
- Lawmakers use their authority/positions to maneuver leadership and the entire nation by doctoring policies to suit personal ambitions.
- There is an inequitable distribution of the wealth of the land etc.
You were made a Nigerian in order to be part of the solution to the quagmire in the nation. Even if you travel to other countries of the world, you will always be a Nigerian. Being a channel of blessing is not only for personal rewards or what God can do through you for those in your sphere of influence. God wants to extend His love to Nigeria through you.
God wants to use you for the re-establishment, re-assignment and restoration of Nigeria: He wants to use you to restore the glory and dignity of our people. He wants to change the narrative of Nigeria’s situation through YOU and ANYONE who make themselves available as a servant and as a channel of blessings to humanity – Isaiah 49:8c.
There is hope for Nigeria because we have entered the season when God is going to save our country by judgment. He will arise and fight for the poor, needy and the oppressed in the land — Psalm 12: 5 NIV, Psalm 37:9-11.
God wants to use you as His agent of deliverance: God wants to use you to open the eyes of the blind to see the beautiful resources that God has deposited into Nigeria and Nigerians. Through you, He wants to deliver the prisoners from their shackles (satanic bondages, poverty, marital quagmires, etc) – Isa 49:9a, Isa 61:1, Luke 4:18, Zech 9:11-13.
God is not a taskmaster. He does not send anyone on an errand without a commensurate reward for labour. If you hearken to His call, He will bless your bread and water, take sickness and diseases far away from you, be a shield for you and your family and cause all things to work together for your favour.
In the name of Jesus, I decree that Nigeria will not bring forth wind.
Nigeria will not bring forth for trouble.
A new Nigeria will be birthed in our lifetime.
Nigeria shall become great again in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!!!
