SUNDAY 20TH, JANUARY 2019

Matt 6:5-15, Psalm 22:28, Psalm 47:2,8, Dan 4:17, 25,32

INTRODUCTION: Any scripture that is in the Bible can become yours if you catch a revelation of it and run with it. The year has been declared as a year of war as a criterion for kingdom takeover agenda. This implies that in 2019 we must be given to serious warfare prayers, live holy lives and put on the whole armour of God so that we do not end up as casualties of war.

It is the year of establishment of God’s kingdom agenda and also a year of enforcing of God’s kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. Apart from us being God’s weapon of warfare, God also has other weapons of warfare that we will examine below.

FIRST, SOME TRUTHS ABOUT GOD:

1. THE LORD IS A MAN OF WAR – Exo 15:3, Rev 19:11, Matt 11:12

Exo 15:3 The Lord is a Man of war; the Lord is His name.

Rev 19: 11Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And he who sat on Him was called faithful and true, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

Matt 11: 12And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

God fights holy wars and he is dedicated to rescuing His children from the trials and temptations of life. God is described as a man of war because he judges and fights in righteousness. He defends and delivers those who are in good standing with him. God will never abandon a righteous man in the time of trouble. He delivered Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego from the lion’s den and they came out unhurt. If you are going to partake in the takeover agenda, there is a price to pay which requires ardent zeal and intense exertion.

Nothing comes cheap in the realm of the spirit, you will require spiritual force in the form of most ardent skill and intense exertion to embark and succeed on the Takeover agenda. Many acclaimed believers are fumbling in the race of the kingdom because they are not ready to pay the price forgetting that there is no easy road to success.

• GOD HAS AN ARMORY- Jer 50:25, Isa 13:5

If someone is described as a man of war, there will be an armory where the weapons of war are stored. Earthly nations know the importance of the armory and spend billions of dollars in securing this very important aspect of their nation’s security. God is the master of inventions and all technological inventions are from men who have tapped into the heart and technology of God. Anything that is written in the Bible can become yours in reality if you tap into the revelation of the word with an open heart and trust God for divine inspiration from above.

• INSIDE HIS ARMORY ARE HIS WEAPONS OF INDIGNATION

Jer 50: 23-28

God has an armory that contains His weapon of indignation which He uses to deal with those who contends with His obedient children. God in His wrath and vengeance does not spare any nation or people that deserve to be punished. Any man that contends against you will be caught, found, ensnared and trapped by the Lord. The Lord will open his armory and fight every worker of iniquity on the issue of Nigeria with his weapons of indignation.

Jer 50:25 Lord has opened His armory, And has brought out the weapons of His indignation; For this is the work of the Lord God of Hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.

Babylon was a very mighty nation that was ruled at the time by King Nebudchadnezzar who reigned for many years. God used Babylon to discipline the Israelites when they went against his commandment. When the set time came for God to deliver the children of Israel from the hands of the Babylonians God arose on their behalf. It is important to understand the dimensions of your life and calling. If you take on more responsibility and tasks different from God’s plan for your life, you will only end up exhausted and frustrated when it may not even yet be your time to make a move.

Isa 13:5 They come from a far country,From the end of heaven—The lord and his weapons of indignation,To destroy the whole land.

The army and weapons of indignation that the Lord uses for battle can come from any part of the globe. God is a man of war and has lots of weapons at his disposal in his armory.

CATEGORISATION OF WEAPONS – based on their type and modes of operations:

1. Super Lethal Silent Weapons – SLSWs; e.g SLSW 10, 12, 13 etc
2. Super Physical Assault Weapons – SPAWs; e.g SPAW 50, 51, 52 etc

1. SUPER LETHAL SILENT WEAPONS – SLSWs:

1. ILLWIND/DESTROYING WIND/EAST WIND: Jer 51:1

Jer 51:1 Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, Against those who dwell in Leb Kamai, A DESTROYING WIND.

The Lord is the originator of ill wind/destroying wind and East wind which he specially designed to fight the enemies of his people. The devil is a very good copycat and counterfeiter because everything that the Lord invented has been duplicated by the devil for his evil purpose and intent.  You must become a believer with power to be able to discern and withstand the wiles and scheming of the devil.

Some characteristics of these destroying/East wind

• The East wind is a destroying wind that makes once upon a fruitful land to become desolate.
• It makes a prospering people poor.
• It brings poverty, drying up the springs and fountains of prosperity.
• The East wind brings the locust, a devouring spirit that eats up fruitful fields.

Hosea 13:15

15 Though he is fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come; The wind of the lord shall come up from the wilderness. Then his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up. He shall plunder the treasury of every desirable prize.

The spring drying up refers to the drying up of the source. When there is no water, irrigation cannot take place hence, a fruitful land is rendered desolate. God is a dangerous God and He is a man of war that you cannot afford to be on His wrong side. If you are messed up enough, it is time for you to come over to God’s sides. Let’s check out some examples:

1. PHARAOH’S SECOND DREAM – Gen 41:1-7

Gen 41:6 then behold, seven thin heads, blighted by the East wind, sprang up after them.

7 And the seven thin heads devoured the seven plump and full heads. So Pharaoh awoke, and indeed, it was a dream.

The East wind is the spirit of poverty and unproductivity that can swallow up anything on its way and dry up the source. The seven thin heads in Pharoah’s dream are described as thin which signifies poverty because the East wind blighted (destroyed, impaired, ruined) them.

• THE EIGHT PLAGUE LOCUSTS – Exo 10:12-15

Exo 10:13 So Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind on the land all that day and all that night. When it was morning, THE EAST WIND BROUGHT THE LOCUSTS.

The Eastwind as a weapon of destruction was sent by God to bring the locust that devoured the whole green items (herbs of the land and fruit of the trees) in the field of the Egyptians. Lack of green vegetation is poverty for the people. When the East wind blows it is a devouring spirit of poverty that can render a desolate a fruitful people.

• Eze 19:10-12   

    10      ‘Your mother was like a vine in your bloodline, Planted by the waters, Fruitful and full of branche Because of many waters.

    11      She had strong branches for scepters of rulers. She towered in stature above the thick branches,

    And was seen in her height amid the dense foliage.

    12      But she was plucked up in fury, She was cast down to the ground, And THE EAST WIND DRIED HER FRUIT.

    Her strong branches were broken and withered; The fire consumed them.

The East wind is a super lethal silent weapon that dried the fruits of the strongest and most flourishing branches used to produce scepters for rulers in the above passage. The East wind can reduce prosperous men who were once towering in stature above their contemporaries with strong multiple streams of income to men of yester-years.

• SOUNDS OF CHARIOTS, HORSES AND A GREAT ARMY

2 Kings 6:24-33, 7:1-13 – Syria Besieges Samaria in Famine

5 And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there.

6 For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so, they said to one another, “look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!”

7 Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.

Ordinary sound is a weapon of warfare that God can use to deliver a people from bondage. It is a super lethal silent weapon. There was a severe famine in Israel that people began to eat themselves and kill their children for food. When Elisha was faced with a desperate situation, he sought solution and download from heaven then made a decree that the heavens honored. The prophet was speaking with inspiration from heaven and an attempt by one of the officers to cross the radar when the signal was still beaming was met with instant pronouncement of death.

God caused the Syrian army who were the cause of the poverty in the land to hear the noise of chariots, the sound of the heavenly armies and sound of war such that they left everything at twilight and fled. The lepers at the gate found out that the armies of the Syrians had fled at twilight the same time that they took the leap of faith. Through the process of prophetic synchronization, the Lord delivered the Israelites from the Syrian army through the timely action of the lepers who activated the restoration and deliverance of their nation.

• RUMOURS OF WAR

2 Kings 19:1-14 –

7 Surely I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

Rumour of war is a powerful tool that the Lord uses to deliver his people from the hands of the enemy.

All those troubling you and your household will hear a disturbing and unsettling rumour of war & they will withdraw from troubling you in Jesus Name. If they fail to withdraw, an angel of the Lord will go out and wipe them out. All the troublers of Nigeria will hear the sound of war and be visited with an ill/East wind of destruction in Jesus Name.
